Arrive at Taoyuan International Airport and transfer to your Taipei hotel. Spend the evening exploring Ximending — Taipei's lively pedestrian shopping strip — and have your first taste of Taiwan's legendary street food.
Full-day Taipei city tour: Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, Longshan Temple, Dihua Street market, and the National Palace Museum — home to one of the world's greatest Chinese art collections. Evening at Shilin Night Market.
Day trip along the northeast coast. Morning at Yehliu Geopark with its otherworldly Queen's Head rock formations. Afternoon in Jiufen — the hillside gold-mining town with red lanterns and winding staircases that inspired Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away.
Take the scenic east-coast train to Hualien, where the mountains meet the Pacific. Check in and spend the afternoon along Hualien's coastline. Hualien is the gateway town for Taroko National Park.
Full day inside Taroko National Park. Explore the Shakadang Trail alongside teal-green rivers, walk through the Swallow Grotto's cliff-hugging path, visit the Eternal Spring Shrine, and stand beneath marble canyon walls — one of Asia's most spectacular natural landscapes.
Travel to Sun Moon Lake in Taiwan's central highlands — the largest lake in Taiwan, surrounded by mountains and indigenous Thao villages. Afternoon boat cruise across the lake, visit Wenwu Temple, and watch the evening light shimmer on the water.
